Introduction

Since 1979 St Mary's Playscheme has been the best playscheme in Barnet. After thirty glorious years, we will be handing on to a new management team in 2010.

We provide a range of activities (including weekly day trips) for children between the ages of 5 and 12. The scheme is based at St Mary's School in Finchley and runs for four weeks during the summer holidays. The scheme is organised by a committee, in partnership with parents, and is run by staff who have extensive experience working with children, many of whom are fully qualified teachers. All staff are subject to police checks and the playscheme is fully insured for all the activities we organise.

We will be running from Monday to Friday, 27th July - 21st August 2009 from St Mary's School, Dollis Park, London N3, and on Fridays at Frith Grange Scout Site, Frith Lane, London NW7. Activities will include: cooking, arts & crafts, textiles and games of which the children have a free choice. In addition to this, there will be swimming, visits to parks, the cinema and a day trip further afield each week. Only children who are eight years old or over and are able to swim confidently will be allowed to attend the swimming sessions.

The cost per week is £80 including all activities and trips. A packed lunch would need to be provided. In addition to this we are offering a daily rate of £20 per day depending on hours (two days minimum). Payment can be made in two instalments should you wish to do so.
